Whether you are admitted as an inpatient or your visit begins in Day Surgery, you will receive quality medical care from the physicians and staff at Dallas Regional Medical Center. Our surgical unit includes four operating rooms with one dedicated for open heart surgery, as well as one cystoscopy suite and an Endoscopy lab. We also have two orthopedic suites located on the second floor, which are part of our comprehensive orthopedic care unit. State-of-the-art equipment allows our surgeons and staff the environment to care for general and specialized surgical care for patients with a wide range of clinical needs.
Capabilities include cardiac surgery, gastrointestinal procedures, surgical treatments for obesity (LAP-BAND and gastric bypass), a wide range of operations for bone and musculoskeletal disorders, and specialties such as vascular, thoracic, gynecologic, urologic, ear, nose and throat.

The Endoscopy Lab provides a full range of services related to the gastrointestinal (digestive) and pulmonary (breathing) diagnosis and treatments.
Minimally Invasive Surgery allows surgeons to perform entire surgeries through tiny incisions with less pain, causing minimal scarring and allowing for a quicker recovery.
The Total Joint Center provides a high quality continuity of care beginning with pre-surgery care through post-surgery rehabilitation in an intensive inpatient care environment with a proven record of quality outcome, which has lead to national recognition of our program. Our surgeons use the latest techniques and advances in medical procedures including the computer navigation to optimize results. The computer navigation technology provides real-time, patient-specific information during surgery. The technology allows the surgeon greater precisions while inside a patient’s joint to make surgical procedures more accurate.
Day Surgery:
Many surgeries once requiring overnight hospital stays can be performed as day surgery in our Day Surgery unit. Patients arriving for day surgery return home that day to recover without a hospital admission. Our day surgery unit performs surgeries in a variety of specialties including eye, gynecologic, orthopedic, ear, nose and throat, among others. Our goal is to provide our patients and their loved ones with individual attention and convenience in a caring environment.
