Dallas Regional honored by Mesquite Chamber of Commerce

The Mesquite Chamber of Commerce honored local businesses for their contributions to the community at its annual banquet on Jan. 23. Dallas Regional Medical Center won Large Business-of-the-Year, beating out contenders Pepsi Bottling and Fritz Industries. The Chamber board chairman said the hospital was awarded because Dallas Regional has been thriving during a tough economic time, installing private suites for post-operative care in a newly renovated wing.

“We know all the challenges that everybody’s been having, and we’ve all experienced those, as well as they have. And what they’ve done is amazing things,” he said.

Dallas Regional Medical Center CEO Justin Davis said he was honored the hospital was selected during a time of significant transition and growth."We appreciate the ongoing support of the Chamber and its members, and have had the pleasure of hosting several ribbon-cuttings and open houses in the past year as we completed numerous renovation projects. In these difficult economic times it is even more important for Mesquite residents to support Mesquite businesses, that is what we try to do every day."
