Q: How do I find a primary care physician?

A: You may call our Physician Referral Line at (972) 698-3789, or you may use our Find a Doctor online search.

Q: Is there an ATM in the building?

A: An automated teller machine is located on the first floor in the Emergency Department lobby.

Q: What kind of food services does Dallas Regional Medical Center provide?

A: The hospital offers a café and vending area. Dallas Regional Medical Center visitors are welcome to dine in the hospital's café, located on the first floor next to the South Tower elevators. Featured are hot meals, soups, salad and deli bar, grill items, desserts, snack items and hot and cold beverages. The hours are: Breakfast 6:30 am–9:30 am, Lunch 11:00 am– 2:00pm.

Q: Does Dallas Regional Medical Center have any vending areas?

A: There are two vending areas available at Dallas Regional Medical Center. The first one is located in the back of the North Tower. The second, smaller area is located on the first floor in front of the doors facing Galloway, near the ECHO/EEG department. Selections include snack foods as well as hot and cold beverages.

Q: Does Dallas Regional Medical Center offer any spiritual care or services?

A: Dallas Regional Medical Center has a full-time chaplain. He is available to provide supportive spiritual care to patients of all faiths including those with no religious preference. When you desire emotional and spiritual support and a listening ear, please let your nurse know so he/she may contact him. We also have chaplains on call nights and weekends. Just ask your nurse to page the on-call chaplain.

Q: Does Dallas Regional Medical Center provide notary service?

A: The hospital has a notary public available from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. If you need notary service, please ask your nurse to call our Administration or Human Resources offices.

Q: I was born at Dallas Regional Medical Center (formerly known as Medical Center of Mesquite and Mesquite Community Hospital). How do I obtain a copy of my birth certificate?

A: You may request your birth certificate from the town or city in which you lived when you were born. Or, you may request your birth certificate from the town or city where the hospital in which you were born is located.

Q: How do I request a copy of my medical records?

A: Please contact our Release of Information Office at (214) 320-7712.

Q: How do I schedule a mammogram?

A: Please call our One-Call Scheduling department at (214) 320-7776 to request an appointment for a mammogram. You will need to provide information including your name, date of birth, phone number, address, and the name of the physician to whom we should send the report. If you have had films taken previously, you will be asked to bring those to your appointment.

Q: How do I request my x-rays and/or mammogram films?

A: Please contact our Release of Information Office at (214) 320-7712.

Q: Where is Admitting?

A: The main Admitting Department is located next to the Emergency Department. If you are coming in for an EEG, ECHO, PFT or a radiology study (x-ray, CT, MRI, etc), please come directly to the Radiology Department and we will process your admitting paperwork there.

Q: Where is the Gift Shop?

A: The Gift Shop is located in the South Tower lobby next to the operator.

Q: What are the visiting hours?

Visiting hours are 8:00 am-9:00 pm, seven days per week. Please note that visiting hours may vary in the Intensive Care Units and also based each patient’s condition.
